The project consisted of restoring the Claux penstock following a rupture. The works involved the partial replacement of the penstock.

Main technical features

Riveted steel penstock over 192 m, followed by welded “gas-to-water” steel for the remainder of its length, with an internal diameter of 1.3 m and an approximate length of 580 m.

Specific constraints

Difficult access / Handling exclusively by helicopter / Lead-based coating / Preservation of the civil engineering structures.
