Type of project Restoration of fish passage on the Durance River in Avignon

Fish passage between the Bonpas dam on the Durance and its confluence with the Rhône is constrained by a number of infrastructures, notably weirs 67 and 68.
The aim of the project is to improve fish passage along this section by carrying out structural works on weir 67 (a 1-metre-deep notch over half the length of the weir, and the construction of a macro-roughness ramp) and on weir 68 (construction of a strengthening apron for the weir, a 2-metre-deep notch over half the length of the weir, and the construction of a macro-roughness ramp).

  • Location Caumont-sur-Durance
  • Project / construction cost 6,5M €
