Main technical features

Hydraulic and mechanical dredging using a dragline; hydraulic dredging using a suction dredger; spud extension and 1,100 m-long discharge pipeline.

Specific constraints

Difficult site access; high variability in the incoming flow due to the Spanish hydroelectric developments upstream, combined with a work area located in front of a spillway whose opening depends on the incoming flow (and cannot be isolated); no possibility of removing the sediment from the site.
